receipt.garden lets you photograph or upload receipts and invoices. We extract data such as amount, date, vendor, and expense category, and generate reports and ledgers you can export or share with your accountant.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
You retain ownership of the receipts, invoices, and other documents you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and analyze it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use Your Content to train or improve any AI model, and we do not sell or share it for advertising purposes.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content, and for ensuring you have the right to upload it — including where a group member uploads receipts visible to other members of a shared group.
Data extraction is automated and, while we aim for high accuracy, it is not guaranteed to be error-free. Please review generated reports before relying on them for accounting, tax, or other official purposes.
If you add a receipt to a shared group, the other members and administrator of that group can see it, including any line-item detail it contains. Only add a receipt to a group if you're comfortable with the other members seeing it — receipts you don't add to a group remain visible only to you.
The Service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, before you are charged we will clearly present the price, billing cycle, and cancellation terms, and label the payment button so it's clear you're entering into a paid order.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you will have the right to withdraw from a paid purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, in line with applicable consumer protection law, unless you have expressly asked us to begin the paid service immediately and acknowledged that you lose the right to withdraw once it has been fully performed. Where refunds are legally required, we will not describe fees as categorically "non-refundable."
You agree not to use the Service to upload unlawful content, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or access accounts or data that are not yours.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law, and our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or, if you're on a free plan, to €50). This limitation does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract, including your rights under applicable digital-content conformity law.
As a usage note rather than a liability exclusion: because data extraction is automated (Section 4), please review generated reports before relying on them for accounting, tax, or other official purposes.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for reasons such as changes to the Service, legal or regulatory requirements, or security needs. Where changes are material, we will give you at least 30 days' notice through the Service or by email before they take effect, and you may terminate your account before the changes take effect if you don't agree to them. Continued use of the Service after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. We may not assign these Terms to another party without your consent, except in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all our assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events outside its reasonable control.
